Introduction to Chemistry
CHEM 1305
This course provides a basic understanding of chemical principles.
It is meant as a first course in chemistry or as a review course to prepare students for college-level chemistry
(CHEM 1311 & 1312). Reasonable math skills (through basic algebra) are expected.
Students planning to continue on to College Chemistry 1 and 2 should be aware of a math prerequisite of
College Algebra for CHEM 1312. These students should be (at least) co-enrolled in intermediate algebra with
CHEM 1305 (Introduction to Chemistry) and co-enrolled in College Algebra with CHM 1311 (General Chemistry I).
These are the minimum requirements (the more math you bring to the chemistry course, the better!)
